Hear one of Northern Ireland’s top ‘Rock Star’, Dr Mark Cooper of the Geological Survey for Northern Ireland, talking about the Sperrins amazing and exciting geology on the 23rd April in The Barn at Springhill House, Moneymore, thanks to the Sperrins Gateway Landscape Partnership.

The Sperrins are truly interesting and unique - and it all stems from their geology. The talk will look at how and why our land is shaped as it is and how our geological legacy has directly influenced our culture and everyday lives with place names, buildings, work and even the stories we tell and, if we are lucky, we will also learn a little of what only the locals know about the area, it’s stories, folklore and legends.

Tea and coffee will be available.
